This year, Ghana Union of Gothenburg is celebrating Ghana’s independence on the 26th of March 2022. The union has celebrated this event every year but due to the Covid pandemic Ghana Union was not able to celebrate this special event last year. Ghana’s independence is on 6th March as such the union tries to celebrate this as close to the independence day as possible. This year is a bit different. The Ghana Embassy in Denmark will come to Sweden (Stockholm) to join the Ghanaian community to celebrate the independence. This is scheduled for 12th March 2022 and the executives of the Ghana Union of Gothenburg are invited to the event. For this reason the union deems it fit to have its independence on the 26th of March.
