About 1700 teams from 80 countries participated in Gothia Cup 2016. There were eight teams from Ghana representing 3 different clubs – Right to Dream, Lizzy Football Club and One World Football Academy.
We saw some good football but in the end it was the Lizzy Football Club B11 team (boys under 11 years) who won the cup at their age division. They played and won all 8 games. They were the team who scored the most goals in the whole tournament, scoring 81 and conceeding only 3.
After the games, the Ghana Union hosted the football teams from Ghana at a mingle in Slottsskogen. Here, the Ghana Union of Gothenburg brings you pictures from the event.
